Garlic Teriyaki Edamame

garlicedamameI love edamame.  I love garlic.  I love Teriyaki sauce.  Combine them and you will have one of my favorite side dishes!

I have made this recipe SO many times and it is my favorite way to enjoy edamame!

Garlic Teriyaki Edamame

Ingredients:

1/4 cup water

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 (16oz) package frozen edamame in the pod

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Directions:

1. Bring the water and garlic to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Stir in the edamame, and cook until the edamame are hot, and the liquid has nearly evaporated, about 5 minutes.

2. Reduce the heat to medium-high and stir in the teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir constantly until the sauce has thickened and coats the edamame, about 4 minutes.

3. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to serve.
